This oil painting on canvas is derived from an original concept of artwork, which I describe as Lush Landscapes. Three imposing poplar trees stand tall and majestic against a turquoise sky, with low floating clouds. Yellow gorse bushes form a background in which they are naturally interspersed, their movement seeming to emulate the clouds above. Pink flowing grasses form a ribbon of colour and texture across the image, with a foreground of wild flowers. Multi- coloured blooms compete for space while giving a soft display of abundance. The abstract scene flows effortlessly together in a random placement of nature, through the wild and open countryside.
